Any of you guys know of a good application for an Iphone/Ipad, etc? I've got a spare Iphone I'd like to use, but not sure of a good program...

What do you use/think??

Re: Apple ballistic Apps?

I have BulletFlight and Ballistic FTE on my iPhone. Even the free version of Bulletflight is very handy and informative, well worth the download.

Re: Apple ballistic Apps?

I have the full version of Bulletflight but I've had to battle with the variables a bit to get it to match my Sierra PC program's dopes which are right on with the correct variables.

Re: Apple ballistic Apps?

Full version of Bulletflight for me. I'll check out iSnipe now too, might be interesting.

Lot's of variables and data output however not everything I was expecting for $30ish

Re: Apple ballistic Apps?

The iSnipe website has quite a few good tutorials and information on it. I believe soon to be able to sync iPhone to website user databases. I've enjoyed using it so far.

Re: Apple ballistic Apps?

A buddy showed me "iStrelok" and it looks really cool. Has reticle holds that change with your zero to make holdovers a breeze. I need to play with it more, but it looks promising. Gotta contact the maker and get USO's MPR on it!!

Re: Apple ballistic Apps?

A few programs do just fine with BC (the Atrag(?) that is on the 5.11 watches comes to mind). When I get time I'm going to compare the output from iStrelok to my FTE and real field data.

I'll be tickled pink if its within a tenth or two, I just want to be able too take advantage of the reticle holdovers on holdover steel match stages.

I emailed the programmer (.ru) yesterday and got a reply last night regarding adding US Optics' MPR and GAP reticles, and he said he would-can't beat that!

Re: Apple ballistic Apps?

Sobr let us know how it turns out when you test in the field for sure!!

I downloaded these three programs and have come up with this for a .284, 180g Berger Hybrid at 2,900 fps, .674 BC, etc. Why is the iSnipe so much different? It's all set the same as far as I can tell...

iStrelok - 26.13 MOA
FTE - 25.39 MOA
iSnipe - 19.72 MOA

Wow, iSnipe is way outta whack (and the one I have no clue about)!
Using corrected pressure, station pressure, or density altitude, and are you using the same on all three?

Keeping my eye on this thread !

Re: Apple ballistic Apps?

iStrelok is running within a tenth to 1K of my actual field data and FTE.

Here's the best part-I emailed the developer in Russia asking about maybe having US Optics MilMPR (my favorite) and their GAP mil reticle added in the future. He had it built, and told me to update my phoe within 2 days!!!

The only drawback is that it is not density altitude driven, but works very well with the right temp, altitude and pressure.

The reticle holdover function makes it now a very useful new tool in my gear!!

-and its available for android OS
