AR-10 Barrell Twist

Hi all FNG here,
I ordered an AR-10 National Match which should be here any day,soooo excited I can barely stand it!!
I am trying to understand the barrell twist a little more, which is a 4 grove 1:10 twist and from what I read it will be more accurate with 168g+ bullets.
Can someone explain why a faster twist works better with heavier bullets vs a slower twist with lighter bullets? It just seems backwards to me? Also, does the grove count factor in bullet selection/accuracy?

With a 1:10 you can fire just about any weight .308 projectile, and still stabilize it.... Fill this out, and if you end up in the green you're good to go.....
