Hey all,

This isn't a debate thread, more an AR 101 resources list that I'm putting together as I putter along trying to learn about these rifles (and when Bohem won't answer his phone).

I've seen the other debate threads but didn't know the very basics well enough to follow what was really being said in the more technical posts.

Thought this might help as I found it very useful.

So you want to buy an AR-15? (different forum/site but very informative thread).

Different Gas Operating Systems (between Direct Gas Impingement and Piston).

Re: Direct Impingement & Gas Piston reloading

Very interesting read. Thanks for the share, EventHorizon!

Thanks for the post, definitely going to read all of that article later this evening, learning alot on here through the threads

I have some more links for AR info.

I know, first post. I've been lurking here for awhile. I have 2 ARs and a few bolt action rifles. I'm active on THR, M4C, Arfcom, and FiringLine. So basically, I'm on most of the related forums so I decided to join here. One of my ARs is a KAC LPR and I want to see what it can do past the 100 yds available at my local club...

Anyway, here's a great intro thread on M4C:

These are 2 M4C stickies that link to knowledge based threads on the site:

And lastly, how to clean an AR, with lube points:
