Rifle Scopes AR 15 optic

I currently have a vortex diamondback (2-7x) on my AR 15.
A great scope, but I'm moving it to my 10/22.
So I would like to get a new scope with more power.
I've been eyeballing a few of the Vortex viper scopes but I have found a use Nikon with more power around the same price.

I looked into the used optics section on SWFA and found this.

I'm looking to stay at this price point but am willing to go to $350.
I don't competition shoot. I just use it around the farm for varmint hunting and would like to reach out further with my optic. I also like the Mil-Dot type reticules. I'm still learning how to use them but I don't want to loose the option now.

Which would you buy? or would you look at something else entirely?

Whats wrong with the 3-10 tactical Weaver for your AR? Definately in your price range and they have a good review.

Haven't used the Vortex, or this particular Monarch, but have been very happy with the Monarch's I've used in the past and always thought they offered very good price / value combo.

The only down side to the Nikon is that its a factory referb, so that equates to no lifetime warranty as they mark the scope somehow. Always liked my Nikons too.

okay. that's the info I wanted. I may hold off and save for the non-refurb. Just to get the warranty.

Same price range, more power and I love the vortex I have now.

I just got one and added it to my Remington 700 223. It seems to be a nice scope and is pretty clear. It also is a nice looking scope. I am taking it to the range next week so I should know more about its quality.

Yeah I would like to know about your experience with it.
I would say one of the reasons I was looking into a different brand of scope than I already have is so that I could experience them and have some sort of good comparison baseline.
