Any such animal? I remove the grip on my tactical chassis cause it fits in the case better but I'm concerned about running that steel screw in and out of aluminum threads hundreds of times. Does anyone know of a mount or adapter that allows a pistol grip to be popped on/off? Like a bayonet style mount with a stud that screws into the chassis and can be release by pushing a button or lever thru the bottom of the grip?

Web searches are turning up nada....thanks in advance!

While never have thought of a quick release grip, there's an option. You would need to modify the grip, space maybe a concern, add a bushing into the lower, a male 1/4x28 with female 1/4x28, the grip would seat and slide over this then a cap screw to secure it. That way you are exercising the threads on the adapter instead. Might need a bushing/washer to have tension transferred onto the grip by the cap screw.

    oh yeah-get a different case

I was thinking put a stud in the chassis then you would have to to have someone make you a long nut out of a peice of bar stock. Something long enough you could start the thread with your fingers then tighten it with a wrench.

Personally i like my weapons ready to go at a moments notice so i would opt for a new case.
