I just received my new AR-50 yesterday and in trying to figure out what ring height I needed I realized that they could be much lower after one little trick. I took off the cheek piece and placed two rubber washers between the cheek piece and the stock at the top hole, ran the bolt through them, then tightened the lower bolt, then the top. Cheek weld is much better the bolt no longer makes contact with the cheek piece all the way down. Now I can put my scope down low enough that is in no longer in danger of low flying aircraft. I searched for hours on a solution for this could not find one, so I made one. Hope this may help someone else.
