AR pistol upper HELP!

I have put together an AR pistol lower. Now the hunt begins for a upper. Cannot decide if I want to go 7.5 or 10.5 on the upper. Would like to have a piston driven upper but not really a big factor. Have looked at Adams Arms, JSE, Red X, and a few others. My brain hurts from all the choices. I am wanting to stay with 5.56 on the caliber choice. Any help with what to look for or preference choices would appreciated. Also any help with choosing upper length (pro vs cons) would help also. Thanks.

KAC 11.5 or BCM KMR 11.5 ELW.

Both will be better than any 10.5/.3 on the market, and 7.5 is a complete waste of money.
