I tried to search on the site but couldn’t find anything. I know google can pull up stuff but with all the knowledge here I didn’t know if there was a thread with a guide already.

My main question is with this barrel and gas block will I be ok with the one dimple or do I need to get a jig and put another dimple in it? It’s a Rainer UM MOD2 barrel that came with the gas block, that is set screw.

the dimple is more for alignment purposes than it is for "retention".

if your gasblock is somehow hit hard enough that it causes it to rotate, 1 dimple or 2 dimples....its not going to matter.

if youre really worried about it, you can have it pinned in place......but even then, unless you have a FSB i wouldnt worry about it.

One dimple is just fine, and it gives you the flexibility to use a different gas block in the future that may have different spacing. Agree with using loctite in the set screws.
