AR15 Barrel Bedding - Any benefit if it's already a tight fit?

So I have a BCM stripped upper that I am installing a White Oak Armament barrel on. I've lapped AR upper receivers and applied Loctite 620 before and will do so with this one as well. The barrel fit inside the upper receiver is pretty tight, I plan on heating the upper receiver when I slide the barrel in. Since the barrel fit is pretty tight, is there any benefit to bedding the upper with loctite 620?

From personal experience on many BCM uppers I would say no. WOA is already famous for having slightly oversized extensions and gas block journals, while bcm has there receiver extensions specced slightly undersized. So I'm guessing this will be a VERY TIGHT fit between the 2. And will require a good amount of heat to get the barrel in. But in this case I would say that loctite or the likes would be a waste. Honestly it would likely push all of it out anyway when pressing the barrel extension into the receiver. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking, it would push all the Loctite out.

Stick the barrel in the freezer for an hour, and use a padded 2x4 on the floor to push on. And make DAMN sure your pin is lined up before starting to seat that barrel.

You're welcome. :)
