Working on an AR build and wondering if anybody has ever used the JP silent capture buffer system in a VLTOR RE-A5 extended buffer tube? From what I can tell you would get the best of both worlds, a longer LOP thats quiter and still get to use whatever upper you decide to use.
Am I looking at this wrong? or does this look correct?
first Ar build so im just toying with ideas while not trying to cause any damage to my gun or myself.....
Anybody?
Thanks

Re: AR15 build VLTOR & JP silent

you def don't need it for anything BUT all JP products are good and work as intended; HOWEVER the A5 system is a different length and the JP is probably not for that! I would call JP beforehand........I have two VLTOR A5 systems and working on a 3rd, not sure why anyone is offended by the buffer "noise"
just my opinion---spend at will!

Re: AR15 build VLTOR & JP silent

The Vltor A5 uses a rifle buffer along with what I would say a rifle buffer spring, the JP setup comes to you where it can be used in the normal carbine buffer or add the supplied extension to be used in a rifle buffer tube, that's my thinkings as to why it would have to work.
I could call JP but what I just said sounds simple enough unless the A5 tube is a different length than the rifle tube's, which would sound right as the A5 uses a rifle buffer (weight).....
