Ar15 butt stock cheak piece

cheap or cheek? ;)

What type of buttstock do you have? A2 or a collapsible? Rifle, carbine?

Are you looking for something with adjustment or a fixed height?

What are you looking to spend?

Maybe worth your while looking at Cheek'n'stock? http://www.cheeknstock.com/main.html....not the most tacticool product but simple to use and they do custom work.

If you have an A2, have you tried a regular type stock pack with some padding underneath?

If you have a SOPMOD or Magpul stock...only one answer...SAPR from Battleline Industries.

It all comes down to stock type and budget in the end...there's plenty of options out there.

Even just some weapon tape or duct tape and a lump of foam........

I was wondering if anyone makes a cheap piece that straps on an ar15 buttstock like the "tactical" rest on bolt guns

As BasraBoy said...more information would be helpful here (i.e. - type of AR stock...collapsible or fixed, make/model, the features you are looking for or the addt'l height you need to achieve, etc.).

There are all sorts of aftermarket parts/accessories that will achieve which you are looking for, as well as many different DIY solutions. If setup correctly on an A2 buttstock, some of the stock packs like the Triad unit and others will work, but the biggest problem is getting the pack back far enough on the comb to allow the charging handle to operate properly. There are also "clamp on" units like the Delta cheek risers that will work too, but generally put the shooter WAY to high for flattop-mounted optics (as they were designed for using a scope mounted to a carry handle).

If you are talking about a collapsible stock, then there are products like the SAPR and Larue RISR that may work for you (again...hard to tell since we have NO idea what type of stock you are dealing with).

Then there are replacement stocks that will give you the adjustability you could want like the Magpul PRS stock (both adj cheek riser/comb and adjustable LOP).

For a CTR...you get two basic options if you want to be able to use your charging handle with the stock less than fully extended:

1) The Larue RISR I mentioned above seen here: LaRue Tactical RISR? (Reciprocating Inline Stock Riser) | LaRue Tactical

and

2) The Battleline Industries SAPR as seen here: http://www.battlelineindustries.com...-ask.tpl&pop=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1

The SAPR is MUCH more expensive, but is, in my humble opinion, leaps and bounds above the RISR in its design, form and function.

Just got SAPR delivered and bolted on my UBR....yet to try it properly and adjust to fit but as ORD says....great fit/form/function. have also added Kasey's mod'ed strike plate for the MonoPod. Not as cheap as a PRS....but I like it!
