I just picked up some PRI window mags modded to fit up to 2.36" OAL rounds.
I have never worked up loads for single loading or long mags like this. I am curious what your results have been with 223/5.56 rounds that are loaded long for single shot loading or out of mags like the windowed PRI.
For example, my newest hand load work up is 2.255", 24.5gr Tac, CCI41, 77SMK, LC12 and it has been delivering 2650fps from a 14.5" JP barrel with a pinned and welded brake. No signs of pressure.
How much harder have you pushed or can you push a similar load if it has the extra .1" to work with for length without jamming the bullet into the lands?
