I got my first Archery Lion without using dogs. I glassed up two Lions at about 250 yards. They were stalking a couple doe and when they blew their stalk, I started calling. I had already gotten set up to call and ranged a bottle neck in the brush I figured it would come through(31 yards).
It came in right through the spot I thought it would, stopped when I drew, and I got her.

Used a 125gr Swhacker which performed great. It was fully open within a fingers depth and the cut is massive. Definitely my favorite mechanical broadhead. I have some of the new 150grainers on the way. 3" wide cut with the design of the Swhacker.... damn.

Thanks!
:)

Thanks very much.

Ya they are the most beautiful animals I've ever seen in the wild. I wish I had more time to watch them before it was all going 100mph.
The next lion(s) I see I'm not going to pursue... though it's likely I'll be with someone who will. But I myself have no current interest in killing another one.
