Are 230 A-tips holding together?

I've searched and found one report that they may be blowing up as well. I'd like to try them out of an 8.5 twist 300 Norma if they aren't ghosting.

Thank you for any insight.

Haven't done a lot of testing but when they go above about 3000fps they fall apart after a few hundred yards. Like take a hard turn & don't hit anywhere we can see. They don't like my lhgt barrel.

They have shot well at 100 yds while load testing but when I stretched them out a little ways they did some very strange things.
I haven't watched them in the spotter myself but on a few occasions they just made a very hard turn & didn't hit a 4' target at 600yds. Ladder test.
At around 2900fps they shot ok but when approaching 3000fps they started to scatter. My spotter said "WTF was that!" After about my 3rd shot in a test string at 600yds. Three in a row did that after the 1st one & I stopped.
All I could see was they didn't land on the tgt or anywhere near it actually.

It's a lhgt. 9.5-8.75 tw 28" 5R.
I've never seen a bullet do this before now. My assumption is the jacket is not holding together & they are rupturing at about 300+/- yds.
I bought 200 for testing with the new barrel & at 1st they seemed to run ok but as my barrel sped up they started doing this above 3000fps.
The 225ELDM is fine at 2960fps & shoot well even out to subsonic ranges. 230AT at 2920 does also. Just the 220lr hybrid is having problems & only above 3000fps +/- weird.

I've used them in 2 different PRC barrels, one being a 26" 9 twist Bartlein running about 2900-2910, and the other being a 27" 8 twist Bartlein running about 2950.
Zero issues with either one.

A good friend of mine is running both the 230's and 250's in an 8 twist, 27" Norma around the 3k mark, same story. No problem.

I haven't seen any issues with them in the 2900-3000 range and the BC/Consistency is unbeatable for the cost imo.
