Currently building a PRS style rifle off of an Impact SA action. I have the action and TT diamond for starters. Looking into a stock vs chassis. I really don't have anywhere to 'try them out' to see which is best for me so gathering as much info as I can before buying. Looking at the MPA chassis for the modularity. Going to run a 26" m24 contour barrel. Shooters with that setup, where is the balancing point on the rifle? Is it really front heavy? In mind it would be but I have never shot one. Thanks in advance

Not sure why you would ever want to run a stock over a chassis on a PRS rig, but to answer part of your question the chassis itself is not heavy. The forward weight would be the 26" M24. I run 26" MTU's with a brake (about 1 lb heavier) in the MPA comp. No issues even on occasion when I have used the RAT instead of a bipod on the extender.

The remainder of your question is the balance point on any rifle cannot be determined until you include the optic and mount.

My set up; 26" remage mtu 6mm bore with Area419 brake, Vortex 3-18 GenII razor in seekins rings and atop a Remington 700 action in the MPA competition chassis. My balance point is just forward of the mag, that 1-1.5" area right where it slopes up to the arca rail, balance is great on barricades.

26" with an M24 barrel in an MPA chassis will balance perfectly. Put it on a bag and a barricade and it will stay put.

You can adjust further with the weight kit which actually makes the gun a bit more tail heavy depending on which buttstock weights you add.

Even with a front weight kit only in mine, it's still back heavy. I run a 26" medium Palma barrel and PVA brake.
Next season I'm running an M40 contour with a can. Should be balanced then...I hope.
