I recently bought a Sig Sauer 1911 XO .45ACP

It's an excellant pistol and the accuracy is stunning. However, the rear sight has been machined just a touch too small and so it moves due to recoil. I called Sig CS this morning and all I was told was, "well it was ok when it left the factory, we check the center on each one before they ship".

That might be true, but it's not the point, the thing moves...

Re: Are there any Sig Sauer Reps on here?

I had a issue with my P220 in .45acp. The pistol was denting the brass as it was ejecting. I've had several P226, P225's before and never had a issue with the other Sig pistols I had.

Didn't know if it was a spring issue or something else. I called Sig customer service and was told as long as the pistol was working it wasn't there concern as to what it did to the brass.

So basically to me, they had no answer for my problem and didn't care about it either.

Man, Sig seriously needs to step up the game on their customer service. It makes me fighting mad to hear about stuff like this from any company, much less one that charges > 2x prices for their wares.

Jeeze, I'll post back their reaction tomorrow. My rear sight on my 220 elite is loose, and the allen key they supplied is already bent due to how weak it is.

I'm seriously going to be pissed if they screw around with me on the phone tomorrow.

Re: Are there any Sig Sauer Reps on here?

Just got off the phone with a CS rep (a woman this time) who was very good about it. She said that they were a bit short-staffed in their workshop and advised sending me a new rear sight and getting it installed myself if I wanted the fastest option.

I asked if had I chosen the option of sending the slide to them would they have paid shipping to & from and she replied yes.

So, from my perspective, it's a reasonable solution.

i purchased a brand new 2022 and it showed up without an extractor. i call sig and they e mailed me a ups shipping tag and i had the gun back within 2 weeks from the day i shipped it this time with an extractor and even another magazine

Dented brass is not an issue. Reload it. Shoot it. Reload it again.

Sig quality has gone WAY down since Ron Cohen took over.

If you are interested, here is a Government Accountability Office report on why their pistols were disqualified from further testing in the ATF contract tests.

Sig isn't the company they used to be....
