Are these blanks reloadable?

A friend of mine has a few thousand .308 blanks with the headstamp L31A1. I read that they are not reloadable but they didn't have any proof. If anyone knows for sure please let me know.

They use a thinner brass case that isn't rated for standard 308 pressures, so don't try and reload them.

Sorry for forgetting some information. Here is a link to what they are http://www.tdwsales.com/ammo.html (The ones on the top).

This is what I read but wasn't sure that it was a credible source.

Re: Are these blanks reloadable?

With that rosette-crimped portion forward of the chamber, you'd have to trim them like you were forming them from .30-06.

I wouldn't bother. For that much trouble, just form some from '06 brass and turn the necks so they're not too thick.

I also would not trust them for reloading live rounds without first sectioning them and looking at the wall thickness compared to known good brass, and also doing a hardness test of the head portion, again compared to at least "soft" Federal brass.

Brass supplies might be short, but I don't think they're THAT short yet.

See if they will sell you one box and then do as Grump says section a few and compare them to normal reloading brass.
