Area 419 Snipers Unknown Team Match will be held 16th to 18th of June, in Northeast Ohio. This will be a two-day competition, which will encompass a wide variety of Sniper team tasks throughout a 1,000+-acre facility. This competition will be open to the public, to include military and law enforcement agencies, which allows the opportunity for shooters around the world to showcase their skills. The competition will be a challenging event that will test all shooters both physically and mentally abilities.



This will be more than just a competition, as many shooters will bring unique skill sets and lessons learned from civilian applications to combat and law enforcement environments. All stages will be set to stimulate real-world scenarios and key task required by Snipers. These courses will test and validate the team’s overall skills, including shooting, judgment, survival, teamwork, tactics, and physical and mental capabilities.



Some stages you can expect to see include Target detection, Timed Engagements, Hostage & Target Discrimination, Urban Rooms, Hides, Known and Unknown engagements, teamwork tests, KIMs games and Stress Shoots to name a few…



Snipers Unknown Matches consist of a two-man sniper/observer teams and have set rules:



· Each team must have a designated Primary and Secondary shooter.

· All muzzle velocities will remain under 3,200 fps for all firearms and no magnum cartridges are authorized.

· Largest authorized projectile will be no larger than 220 grains.

· Smallest rifle caliber authorized will 5.56x45/.223 Rem.

· Smallest caliber for pistol will be no smaller than 9mm.

· No armor piercing, penetrator, incendiary, steel core, or jacketed projectiles will be authorized.

· Optics on rifle and pistol are authorized, and there are no restrictions too magnifications.

· Binos and spotting scopes will have no restrictions.

· Range finders are authorized and can be mounted on weapons systems or handheld. Either option must be able to be taken off or put away if requested by range officer at any given time.



There is a 60-team limit; so early registration is recommended. Registration is currently open!

All participants in the tournament will receive a commemorative T-shirt and Goodie Bag.
