If I can get an AR-30a1 in 300 win mag basically new for $1200 should I get it? I understand that this rifle design is dated but with an original MSRP of $3500-ish , I wonder if this rifle would still be better than a $1500 modern design.
A little background on me, I am a seasoned 3gun and tactical shooter but my only long range shooting experience was at the 500yard line with iron sights once a year. I am looking to get into long range shooting and have found a friend with access to some land which is opening up this interest for me.
