G'day guys

I recently bought an Atlas bipod from Kasey @ B&T Industries. Great piece of kit.

One minor issue I'm having is with the A.R.M.S #17S mount the bipod is attached to. I can't close the lever when the mount is on the picatinny rail on the bottom of my rifle - too much resistance. If I put some ass into it, it'll probably close - and then never come off without a hammer being used, or I'll break what looks like a cast lever.

Is there a way of adjusting the tension on this mount? I've looked at it and if there is, it isn't obvious to me - unlike the Larue mounts.

If there isn't, can anyone suggest a fix. Sanding down the surfaces fractionally springs to mind but I don't want to unleash the lizard part of my brain on this piece of equipment without consulting more widely?

Cheers

Re: ARMS #17S mount problem

Had the same problem with my #17S and a Seekins rail. I measured the rail to be too wide. Glen gave me another rail and it fit fine.

I'd measure your rail and see what's going, or get a LaRue and adjust the lever accordingly.

The width dimension on my rail was out of spec. According to Picatinny Arsenal, it should be 0.835" +0.000/-0.005"

Cheers guys

I'll measure the rail. I'd like to replace the 17s with a Larue but I don't think I can buy one, given I'm in Australia (don't get me started on ITAR idiocy).

How do you get the 17s off the bipod, out of interest?

Should be 2 screws on the rail mount portion of it.
