Rifle Scopes Army units using S&B?

For my fellow Army bubbas--

Was watching the military channel last night-- saw several instances of U.S. Army troops using S&B scopes (and not Short Dots).

Is this a unit specific issue? I've seen some NF and a lot of Lupy--never S&B.

Special operations units have the budget and permission to buy whatever suits their operational needs - or, for that matter, their whims.

There is no "issue" as such. They just buy what they want. And such units may be using a variety of equipment acquired over a long period of time, so there may be no consistency of equipment even within a single unit.

I have pictures from 3 yrs ago with them using S&B scopes... last month there were two in a class of Soldiers.

They use them, I have also seen USO in the same unit

Dont know f its of any interest, but over here, most of LEO and mil rifles up to and including the .50 Barret is equipped with S&B day optics.
The standard issue red-dot is Aimpoint for HK416 btw.
