Gents(and Ladies),
The spring ASC match has came and went. The creator graced us with good weather in spite of a rain forest forecast for much of the weekend, and for that I am thankful. Nick, your contribution in luck of the weather is not forgotten either!

Thanks to all of our sponsers for an extremely generous prize table once again! The shooting industry seems to be one of the few that truly treat back their customers in the manner that these guys do at our match and others. In no particular order, a special thanks to GAP rifles for a kick ass AR-10, to FNHUSA for yet another awesome SPR A5M, and US optics for a scope certificate and more. I will try to honor our full list of sponsors when I get the list.

Congratulations to a outstanding shooter and our winner: Clark Kennedy! Re: ASC Scores

Thanks to you and everyone else for running a great match.
The hospitality there is second to none. Thanks to the sponsors also. GAP, FN USA,
and US Optics stepping up to the plate in a big way along with many others.

Also a special thanks to Moon for taking time to get Chucks 260 up and running right again at the match.

Re: ASC Scores

What a fantastic match!!!!!

It was great meeting some new people. The food was FANTASTIC (As usual)!! The match had some fun new shots that were well thought out and alot of fun. A huge thanks to all the staff that put the match together. It ran smooth and we had time to send a little extra down range!

Congrats to all the top shooters. Those boys really put on one heck of a show with those 7 Wissims. I couldn't imagine shooting with a better group of guys. Everyone cut the fool a little and always gave some good advice.

Thank You to all the Sponsers!!!!!

Especially GA Precision, I sure appreciate the Gas gun that is in the backseat headed to Florida!!!

Eric and Ian, you guys will be getting a way better prize in less than 6 weeks. Congrats to both of you. It was a pleasure shooting with you both

Brock, Thanks for the fabulous beef

Rod, Thanks for always giving me a hard time and taking what you can dish out.

I hope to see you guys soon!

Re: ASC Scores

What can I say another great amtch as usual. Great to see old friends and have lots of laughs... Thanks to all the sponsors for the great prize table and a big thanks to the ASC crew for their hospitality and Brocks great cooking. The highlight of the match for me was hitting the 1/4 moa target at 600 and watching the explosion, that was great. Great shooting stages, great weather and a great time. Hope to see everybody in the fall.

Re: ASC Scores

Thanks to Rod, John, Brock, Matt, Don, and Jeremy for the all the work you guy's put in for this match. Thanks to John Pierce for the can I took off the table, wish I could have taken it home (dam ATF). And thanks to all the other sponsors who year after year go way beyond to put together a huge prize table. And thanks to Jim at Predator Custom Shop for building my father and I two 300 Win Mag hammers. And Thanks to Scott at Mcree for a stock that I can really get behind, literally.

Re: ASC Scores

Again I am reminded how much this match means to people. It has become a gathering of friends with some shooting involved instead of a tactical match. Leaving Seneca is always the hardest part of the ASC experience and it was again this match. To all my friends, Lord let us gather again in the fall. Without a doubt the entire group, and especially the group I was in was the most enjoyable I have had a chance to shoot with, thank you all. Where on earth would a competitor take the bolt from his 3k build and give it to you to rob parts from so you can finish the match. Mr. Pohuski did exactly that! He allowed me to remove parts from his Badger action and let Moon fit them to mine Via dremel, and get my rifle in action for day two. I am forever in debt to you sir!!! This is the level of people we shoot with at ASC.
Thanks to Rod, John, Brock, Matt, Don and everyone involved in the ASC experience.I know it is never easy but I think it is always enjoyable, for that “THANK YOU”
Congrats go to My dear Friend Clark, I was with Ya round for round until the last hours,(Don't Forget To reset your turrets on a 6 shot Drill) You did well my friend!
Also thanks to Moon, Josh and Tony you were a great group to shoot with and I owe you about 2/3 of my hits.
I saw a lot of nice rifles at this match, you had the GAPs and APAs as usual but also some new names in the top 10 like Predator Customs of Knoxville Tn , True works of art from John Pierce, and a match winning 7WSM Built by Bobby Kiegans, So not only is the sport growing but so is the talent in the construction side of the trade. As a shooter there are more and more choices making life sweet.
While it took me 2 of my rifles, an extractor from another along with an hour of gunsmithing and 3 bipods to finish the match, I was, as always, thankful to be there.

Re: ASC Scores

I would like to take this time to thank all who made this match possible and for being allowed the opportunity to compete side by side with some of the best gentlemen I have met. I had the time of my life this past weekend and look forward to being able to do this again.

A special thanks goes out to both Rod and John for doing this year after year. Also to the FN shooters who not only were very helpful during the whole match but for donating the rifle I ended up winning.

Re: ASC Scores

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! To Rod and John, for putting on the match, Brock, Matt, and all the others who do the thankless work of setting out all the targets, and all the other stuff that goes on behind the scenes to make this possible. Thanks to all of the RO's and guys running around helping call shots, you are all great folks, and I can not express enough thanks.

I was glad to see many friends at the match, Lester, Eric, Moon, Ian, Little, Andy, the FN Guys, Justin, Ben, Jason, the Pohuskis', who are always class acts, and all the others, wich would look like the score list if I continued. I missed Boney and Rickets!!

I am very appreciative and honored to be able to come and enjoy this event with you guys and look forward to it again. Its a time that can not be properly explained by me, with my limited vocabulary. I hope the smile that is still on my face can explain it.

Here are some pics that my wife took (THANK YOU!!!!). She handled the mountain like a pro, waiting for me to catch up the whole weekend. I was truly humbled.

Congrats to Clark. He is a class act.

Re: ASC Scores

I don't think Words could express my gratitude for being invited to this event. The directors, RO's, Shooters and the LAND all play a roll in making it happen. Without any one of them it would not be what it is. If there is a perfect match, a perfect weekend and perfect company... I experienced it ! Thanks to Every Single person at the event for making it The ASC.

A Special shoutout to all the Sponsors.. seeing that prize table quickly lets everyone know your not just about Profit, you truly care about and take care of your customers (and future customers) I will not attempt to name them as the list would go on forever and I might leave one out !

Not much time for taking pics, but HERE are a few i managed to get.

Re: ASC Scores

Since it is such a pain trying to take photos while you are competing at ASC, what better way to get photos than to have Tom's Son take them.
He certainly needs to be educated on the finer points of photography, but he was able to capture some nice images of this outstanding event.

Without further ado, here are the images along with some witty captions:

On behalf of the FNH USA Long Range Precision Rifle Team ("Team Claw") I want to thank everyone who had a part in making this another great match. Rod, John, Brock, Matt, Don... great job! To my fellow competitors, thanks for your sportsmanship and comradery. I enjoy shooting with and learning from all of you. Trina, congrats on the rifle. See you and Ron at Mammoth in July.

We hope to see you all again on the mountain in the fall or another range on another day. Stay safe and stay behind the reticle.

Another great ASC went down into the history books. A big thanks goes out to Rod, John, Brock, Matt, Jeremy, and Don for putting on a great match. Also a real big thanks to Joe Harper for allowing us to shoot on his farm.

Congratulations to Clark for finally bringing home a slate trophy. He can put it next to his fake snowman trophy from the winter match.(He'll have to tell that story)

I also want to thank all the match sponcers for the prize table. A lot of great gear was on display there.

I'm always amazed at the camaraderie and sportsmanship displayed at the shoot. It was a true pleasure shooting with everyone.

Until next time.

Re: ASC Scores

Wow...where to start! I am grateful for the experience!!! Thanks to Rod and John for having me! This was my third ASC, and it was the one I enjoyed the most. Adding the third day really allowed me to savor the time on the mountain, and take the time to really enjoy the surroundings.
My shooting partners ( Mark and Sean) made the match alot more fun. I'd hate to think of the (additional) shots I might have missed without them! Battlefield pickup was an exciting addition...i missed the primary, but got the orange midgets ( west virginia seems to be plagued with 'em).
I made a shot on the last day at 1200 yds, my farthest shot ever...so I was pretty happy.
The funniest thing I saw was a close range stare off between Maggie and the cows that lasted over ten minutes. Didnt get a pic of that, it would have won a prize!
The weekend did for me what I have been unable to achieve in 2 years. For 3 days, my mind was clear of the stress of work and life associated with this damn economy. Shooting and the beautiful surroundings commanded so much of my attention that it pushed aside all else. For that, I will be eternally grateful!

Re: ASC Scores

Jon,
Thats a great idea. Start a thread and post what you shot with/what you packed. I think this would be big help to future shooters as well as to those thinking about shooting a a similar match like the cup or mammoth as well. I would be interested in seeing how the list breaks down for optics, calibers, etc. myself.
