Rifle Scopes Athlon Ares and orange shooting dots.

So I have a gen 1 Athlon Ares. I think I really like it. Only have an SWFA 10x to compare it to, I do really like my SWFA.
My questions is when I shoot at orange targets, like the 1 Or 2 inch sticky targets from Birchwood I cant focus on them with the Athlon. With the SWFA I don’t have this problem. I can focus on anything else just fine. Is this normal?

Watch the following videos, I'm betting this will help you fine tune and understand how to properly adjust your diopter. FFP is a different beast when compared to fixed or SFP optics in regards to this subject.

I had similar problems focusing on orange-lined paper targets with a gen 2 ares BTR. Any other color focused fine.
