I recently picked up an Athlon Cronus tactical spotting scope. I’m curious how you guys are protecting it. I may end up with a hard case with custom cut foam. That’s fine for storage and transport, but what about when you throw it in /on your bag. It came with a neoprene (I think) cover. I tend to lean towards materials that have a more rugged design like cordura. Has anyone seen a cover like that for this scope? What else are you guys doing?

Some spotter models have very little aftermarket support when it comes to goodies like stay-on covers.
Creedmoor sports makes some universal type covers. They may not fit perfectly, but they will offer some protection. You could also try a Bushnell LMSS cover. Theres a chance it won't fit, but it may be close.
Or, you could go the route i did. I have 2 optolyth TBG80 spotters. No-one makes a stay-on cover to fit it, so i bought 50$ worth of cordura and padding on ebay, picked up a used sewing machine at a 2nd hand shop for 20$, and watched about 10hrs of youtube videos on sewing. It took me the better part of a day to trial-and-error my way through 2 of these.
Im into them for 70$, have a sewing machine, and enough materials to make about 10 more covers.

Necro thread but thought I'd bump it to see if anyone else has come up with other/better solutions for lens protection on the Cronus. Objective cap isn't horrible but the eyepiece one falls off if you even look at it. Thought maybe a simpler butler creek type cap but haven't found one big enough yet. There's some stretchy camera lens covers but most report they attract grit which seems counter productive

I just ordered a custom cover from Creedmoor Sports for my Cronus tactical spotter. Had to send them some specific measurements to support the arca rail I have on there. Also requested some custom changes to better fit what I wanted. I'll post how it turns out once I receive it. If you're wanting to just go caps, I would follow up with MKM.
