Rifle Scopes Athlon Optics Ares BTR GEN2 2.5-15x50 any good?

I considered one. But they're made in China and I'd rather have a scopeless rifle than any more rifles with Chinese-made scopes.

That said, they have gotten good reviews on YouTube and in forums. (But after being burned by raving reviews on YouTube and forums of 5 separate scopes and those scopes being complete dogshit, I'm just happy for return policies.)

The Chinese Athlons are excellent optics.

The Cronus. I believe it’s about double the price and made in Japan.

I have a Midas. I am considering another Athlon. Hard to compare becayse I have not seen all the optics in the world. I have seen and used a fair number. I like everything about these.

I have a Gen 1 ARES BTR 4-27x50 and it’s been really impressive for the price. Good glass and tracking has been spot on with a lot of dialing up 10mils and back to zero.

The glass isn’t Cronus level but neither was the price.

There's only one thing I think could be better on the Gen2 Ares BTR's, specifically the 4.5-27, and that's the glass, if it were one step up in IQ??? But for the price it's a pretty darn good scope.

Since the other only goes up to 15x I doubt that aspect would be noticed near as much.
