Precision Rifle Gear Atlas Bipod help

Got my first Atlas, second-hand, and thus no instructions. It won't clamp down tight on my Aero quad rail. How do I adjust it to close just a tad tighter?
I can't figure if this nut comes out or if that's even how one would go about doing it.

That's an American Defense Manufacturing rail adaptor. I have a few scope and red dot mounts of theirs. There is a way to push on it to get that nut to pop out so you can tighten it.

1/6 of a turn makes a big difference

You open the clamp push on the handle, the nut will pop out and be able to turn.
