Finally breaking in and wanting to try an Atlas. Are the round rubber feet that come with the bipod sufficient for most use? Mainly shooting off a bench. But Sometimes lying prone on the ground.
If I was to get another set of feet would the spikes or the cleat feet be better?
As far as the rail I need to get. They come in a 2", 3.35" and 4" rail segments. My manners stock has two sling studs so I assume with the longer rails you just remove both sling studs and use those holes for mounting?
Any advantage of going with the longer rails or would just the 2" rail be sufficient and I assume I would just have to remove one sling stud to install the shorter rail?
Am I over thinking this? I'm sure the longer rails add a little weight so just looking for what everyone uses and why.
Thanks for advice.
Oh and if you remember seeing what vendor has the best prices now I'd appreciate a heads up also. Seems like I'm always a little to late to catch one being sold in the PE.
Thanks
