+1 - I have both (on different rifles).
As above, both are quality pieces of kit and could recommend either. Sporting Services in the UK has a fricton lock for the spigot that really helps if you like a "tighter" feel to the AI/PH unit.
However, I decided just before Christmas to standardise all my bipods on the V8.
I have just heard from Kasey that my V8 with V2 AI spigot shipped at the end of last week.
Why change?
There will be a weight saving and I really like the 45 Degree capability on the Atlas and the fact that you can get interchangeable feet for different surfaces.
Apart from the clunky "rubber shoes", try doing that for an AI/PH!
Plus, although iIve always found my AI/PH robust and never had any problem with the "slop" that some people moan about....I think Kasey's quality of build and finish is a great improvement on the '40's / 50's mil spec look/feel of the AI/PH
