Average Muzzle Velocity for DPMS SASS .308

What sort of muzzle velocity are you getting from your DPMS SASS shooting 168 grain Federal Gold Medal Match ammunition. Please state temperature too.

The conclusion I have come to is that most experience 175's pegging around 2550 +-10 at normal temps. I however have no chrono.. I'd assume 168's shoot slightly faster possibly 2570's.

Mine was just over 2500 with varget + 175's.

If you're looking at buying one very accurate but very heavy is how I'd describe it.

edit: FWIW I've since sold that rifle as I like my 16" build better. It's lighter, handier, and accuracy/muzzle velocity is about the same.

Same here, just about 2515 most of the time with varget and 175 from the ar10. Not a dpms, but still an ar10 (20 inch barrel).

avg vel for 40 rds from same lot 2549 fps

Average muzzle velocity with 168 GMM turned out to 2500.
