AX AICS folding hinge removal to shorten OAL

Has anyone removed the hinge of an AX AICS to shorten length? Is it even possible to connect stock to chassis or do you need the hinge interface?

I never been a fan of folding stocks as I don’t benefit from any of it’s features, maybe helps with cleaning but that’s about it. Let me know if anyone has done it.

When I bought mine it had no hinge, they come with hinges now?

It seems to be standard. Am talking of an AX AICS not an AT-X
