Is that a ASR Mlok forend in Surge Brown? Or is it in AI DE color that is for the AXMC and AXSA?

Good question-
short answer, I don’t know. It is darker than my DE AXSR, but close…

The ASR Surge Brown rail is actually lighter then the AI DE. The Mlok forends you can buy from MH and Euro that were originally advertised for the AXSR rails do not work with the AXSR. They have since updated the description on the website. The mounting screws that go up into the forend are different sizes. So if you bought it from MH or Euro it will only work on an AXMC or AXSA. Unless you have pressed out the threaded inserts and pressed in new ones for the SR thread pattern.

DESCRIPTION​

This forend tube is not compatible with AXSR rifles. It is also not compatible with any AICS chassis systems.

M-LOK 16" Forend Tube for the AI AXMC and AX Rifle Systems (post 2014). AXMC rifles will require a 20 MOA action rail to align the picatinny rail interface.

Well, it was mounted on my AXSR when I bought it. Definitely works. And it’s a light brown…
Came on a rifle I bought used. I have no other information
