I went down to USO to have the scope looked at, nothing wrong with it, but I was a little paranoid after the match I shot on sunday, just wanted to make sure everything looked ok.

Well, they gave the scope a once over, cleaned it, swapped my 4" ARD for a 2", gave me a USMC logo EREK cap, 2 USO shirts and installed a USO screw on cover on the 2" ARD, ummmm for free.......... Tried to at least pay for the screw on cover, but Arnold wouldnt hear of it.

Can you say CUSTOMER SERVICE? I was helped by Arnold, Steve and this other gentleman whos name I forgot (sorry) and as usual, they took a whole lot of time out of their busy day to make sure I left with a smile on my face.

These guys are awesome!

Here are some shop pics, pics of the scope with the USMC EREK cap and the USO brown anodizing pic one of the members here requested, I put it next to a USO green anodized item for contrast, one pic is with flash, one is without.

I knew I wasn't loosing my mind when I said the anodize brown looked more like bronze than flat dark earth...

I'm sure Arnold and Jeff wished I was working a bit further away so I wouldn't drop by just for the heck of it sometimes, that way the guys here would actually get their scopes earlier.

No problem John, your guys took very good care of me.

Pete, I wouldnt call it bronze myself, the flash makes it look that way, it just looks like a dark brown to me, just like the pic without flash.

Re: Back from USO, BROWN USO PICS & Shop Pics inside.

Wouldnt be hard to chuck the 4" in a lath and take 2" off of it. Just touch up the exposed aluminum with Birchwood Casey aluminum black.

That was my idea today at USO, but Jeff said he would make me a 2" ARD instead (took him less than 5 minutes to do so) and trade it for the 4"

I always go in from the front door... That way you are almost always greeted by Becky.

Going in from the side "retail front" door just makes you want to spend more money.

Re: Back from USO, BROWN USO PICS & Shop Pics inside.

LOL, the side door takes me direct to the shop, where I can drool over all of the stuff in the displays. I didnt get a chance to meet Becky, but I did meet Arnolds daughter, whos name I cant remember.....

They are hidden in secret compartments on the sides near the seats, and they pop up like machines guns on James Bond's cars.

Ive been asking Jeff for one for a loooong time now. They said they could take a 4" and cut it down and re anodize it.

Re: Back from USO, BROWN USO PICS & Shop Pics ins

Thanks USMCj! I really like the brown anodizing! Looks like I'll be getting a scope or two in that color!

Re: Back from USO, BROWN USO PICS & Shop Pics ins

I don't have the $$$ together yet to place an order for a high end scope, but as I have mentioned before, it will be with USO when the time comes. This is why, not to mention the quality.

I asked him to do the exact thing to mine, but he epoxied a ARD in a 2" shade for me instead. It shouldnt be too hard to chop down a 4" if you know someone with a lath. Just touch up the exposed aluminum with Aluminum Black from Birchwood Casey.

Re: Back from USO, BROWN USO PICS & Shop Pics ins

Just a heads up for all of you wanting a 2" sunshade for your 5-25x. We now have these available but current supplies are limited. If anyone wants one just give us a call.

I'd be happy to mail mine back in if you'd exchange a 4" w/ARD for a 2" w/ARD Jeff......

When talking to the people at USO you get the impression that they have a good morale there. I like that in a company. Just got my T-Pal yesterday, WOW! It was hard sleeping last night knowing i have to finish building my rifle before i can use it. It strikes me as a very precise instrument. I cant wait to beat it and put it through its paces!
