Gunsmithing Badger bottom metal?

I'm looking at a GAP Rock with M4 bottom metal, is it a plug and play switch to go to M5 to get the detachable mag? Or does it need special inletting?

Needs some minor widening, I've done it with a dremel and just take your time and you can do it. Best would be to send it off to be done, but I wouldn't....I'm adventurous with my Dremel compared to most
