If I wanted to run a NV optic in front of my day optic for Hog/Coyote hunting would the Badger EFR mount be a good option? If so, how much space do I need in front of my scope to run one? The NV device I have my eye on is the Armasight CO-LR Gen 2+. Any thoughts, suggestions, and/or comments would be awesome. Thanks everyone.

Hey buddy I hope this helps.
I am getting my McMillan A4 stock inletted by my local Gun Smith to fit a badger EFR. They will be using this guide :) btw I am running a Rem 700 5r Gen 2 Long Action in 300 Win Mag with a krieger 30 Inch barrel and a Nightforce ATACR 5-25 F1 and it will all work perfectly according to my Gun smith. Also remember to take into consideration you may want to keep a sun shade on your scope and take that into consideration when mounting your EFR into your stock. Also, you can mount the EFR facing forward or backwards to sllow that extra room for your Clip on Night vision Device.
1 final thing is when mounting a Badger EFR you may need to taper down your barrel like i will need to. Ill link a pic (these pics I found on google and aren't my rifle by the way).

Thank you, so by the looks of things it will all fit just fine. Comparing the scope ATACR Over all length to mine it will fit just fine. Thank you both for the help.

The stock in the images which you posted doesn't look like an A4. Might you be kind enough to post a few of the EFR installation in the A4 please. I ask since as I understand it, the A4 doesn't have a lot of room to spare for installing said mount. I'm also curious to see how much, if any, stock & EFR real estate is left to mount clip on units too for those of us who are stock crawlers. AKA those of us who mount our day optics fairly far forward, & or use longer scopes.

That post was one I found online, these ones are my personal Rifle currently being worked on by my Local Gun Smith.

Let me know if you need anymore pics and feel free to be specific so next time I'm in-store I can take some more for you :)

I just had a EFR installed on a FN SPR and the gunsmith had to move a couple of the QD mounts in order for the rail to be mounted properly. It wasn't a big deal but it did cost a little extra money... FYI in case you have some QD mounts on the front end of your stock. I had the EFR put in to run a PVS-27 and I had about two inches between the front of the scope (Steiner T5Xi 3-15x50) and the PVS-27.
