Rifle Scopes badger ordnance 20 moa base installation

I'm installing a badger ordnance 20 moa base on my 700 to how many foot pounds should I tighten the screws? Does it even matter? purple loc-tight?

I just installed a Seekins base, used blue loctite on the bottom base surfaces and torqued the screws to 15 inch pounds. Didn't feel tight enough but I'll trust Glen knows best.

I had to drill a base screw out once that had blue loc tite on it...

I kept that stuff far away from guns since then, tighten everything to spec and surpeese surpreese, no loose base.

I didn't use much on the screws. I did on the base, just used a q-tip to get the excess off. My rifle will be in the rain so I didn't want moisture under there.

15 inch pounds and no more. I would NOT recommend using Loctite. There may come a time when you will have to take that base off. I use a Snap-On torqueometer torque wrench 0-100 inch pounds to mount optics. I never had a problem.
