Glad you managed to get the scope lower without having to resort to any of the number of ridiculous solutions like a fixed CTR cheek riser that you'd have to snap on and off every time you needed to charge the rifle or clear a jam or rigging the RISR to work on the UBR!!
Looks like you are set now. Be sure to let us know what you think once you get a chance to put the rifle through its paces now. I couldn't be happier with my P-308s...I'm sure yours will be an excellent performer too!
you are right ORD - that would have been a little ridiculous having to take off a riser every time I wanted to charge it. Woulda got old real quick.
Can't wait to get it out to the 1000 yard range this weekend!
I looked at the larue but needed the cant on the riser to get out to 1000 yards. The badger had 22 MOA. Larue has a 10 MOA scope mount I considered but this setup with low rings got me a touch lower scope mount.
Badger 22moa risers are one of my favorite mounts for the AR platform.
My POF runs the new HSR rail and I was able to get real low with a NF Unimount, just another option for anyone popping in in the same boat. I did have to file on the base for the erector assembly of my SN3 to clear, but it was well worth it.
