Range Report Ballistic Calc for iPad

I've got BulletFlight L2 and Shooter on my I phone. I like Shooter best. I bought BF L2 first and it works great however made me calculate lead for a moving target. Shooter does that for you. Six of one and a half dozen the other. I haven't tried Shooter yet. I'm needing to compare the drop and wind charts between the two but I'm betting they will be close. BF L2 allowed me to hit 16"x18" plate well out to 800 yards but didn't get any hits past that. Of course any of them are only as good as the dope you feed them and chronos lie so...Going back out this Sunday and will try out the Shooter ap. Hell, for $10 try both.

I've been using Ballistic for years and it has always worked well. The iPad version uses the screen space well and the logging features have really improved over the years. In terms of ballistics calculators, these programs seem just about equal to me. You need to have good velocity data and use the Litz G7 libraries if available for your projectile and you'll get great results.

I have both Shooter and Ballistic on my IPad. I never use Shooter, as Ballistic has more features. I really like the logbook on Ballistc. I still use my paper log, but I do find the log on Ballistic to be useful in studying my log entry's and looking for patterns and trends. Ballistic and Shooter will both give you accurate ballistic data, Ballistic just offers a lot more.

Shooter lead data?

I assume you mean Shooter's "Show Lead" option, which replaces the Wind column in the grpah with Lead info. When I do this, the data Shooter shows is quite different from my experience and what I get when trying to figure out the actual flight time vs. target movement physics calculations (the last two actually match up fairly well). Shooter seems off by a increase of three times the MOA lead or so. Is there something obvious I am doing wrong? Do others find Shooter's predicted leads are correct? I have alot of mover hits using my calculations, and I feel pretty sure I would have missed on all these using three times the lead.
