Gunsmithing Barloc and Tenon Thread Length

Two questions regarding threading Savage prefits when I take a blank to a gunsmith. First question is there a standard length of thread that all the Savages prefits will have?
Second: are there any custom actions out there that need extra threads to headspace with a Barloc installed?
I can just barely get my Barloc to headspace with a Savage action and a X caliber prefit. I plan on getting a Nucleus or Bighorn Origin soon and will have 2 more barrels chambered before I have the new action in hand. I am guessing I should just have the smith thread enough extra to cover the added width of the Barloc to be sure I will not have trouble with any future action I might use.

No but most use 1.6" - 1.7" tenon thread and 1.7" should be safe use use with the Barloc with barrel nut.

It's really not an issue with the action. It's the the length of thread on the barrel. Until the Barloc came along, you just needed room for a barrel lug and nut. I would have the smith thread them a little long.

I have it on my Origin and barely have enough room to set headspace. Others are running out of space. Ordering savage pre-fits will be a gamble.

Thanks for the reply. I measured my two barrels. The X-Caliber pre fit is 1.55 and the Savage take off is 1.61 which had plenty of threads. But now I've decided to go with a Bighorn TL3 and get my new barrels shouldered for the TL3. I've got a bonus from work coming in a month so going to go the full custom route. Getting the Savage was a good learning experience in bedding and inletting and shoots well but now I want to squeeze the last bit of accuracy out of "me" and time to take it to the next level with the equipment.

For the Origin, could you get the barloc w/ a recoil lug and would this alleviate some of the issues w/ the tenon length because you're now not using the washer?
