Anybody have any experience with the Barnes 70gr. TSX for the .223? Looking for any info on groups and any problems with loading. Any problems with mag length? Etc.
These will be used in a 1:8 twist 18"
Thanks

Re: Barnes TSX 70gr?

They shoot good out of my 1 in 7 Noveske, I have seen them used on deer and they worked. They hit dogs like a brick. I have not seen a 1 in 9 barrel that will shoot them. My Savage PC with a 1/9 twist gets them on paper at 100yds but it is ugly, they usually just key hole with anything slower then 1 in 8. My PC will shoot 77smk better then anything else, but the barnes are just too long.

Shoot 1/2 moa in a 1 in 8 twist .223AI. I've shot deer with them. It wouldn't be my first choice for deer. All shots were high lung shots. All did the job. Deer all ran about 100 yrds. Only downside, very little blood.

Thanks guy's. Think I will order a box and see what I can get out of them.
I will not be using it for deer. Not legal in Va. Mostly small game and coyote.
