Thinking of getting out of the 300 win mag game. I have a remington 700 in 300 WM, in a HS presicion BDL stock w/ a timney trigger and badger 1 piece scope rail. I have not really shot it much, always enjoyed the AR30 in 300 WM more.....and since that is gone, the 300wm just seems to have lost the appeal for me. for me and my shooting, I feel the 308 is perfectly fine, and considering I already reload and have quite a few other 308 rifles, I can just downsize to the more common caliber.

so, do I rebarrel and get a new bolt? or sell the whole thing and just buy/build a 308 like I want?

yeah, this is partly your fault.......you and that sexy little shorty.

I am not worried about a 6.5 creed at the moment as I expect to be able to get my hands on a semi auto one hopefully next year, slightly used.

Not even sure what price to put on this if I do end up selling. got all the parts on trades over the last 2 years......
