Barrel Contour Krieger Heavy Palma vs. Rem. Varmint.

Hey guys,

I found a great deal on a manners stock, but it has a Krieger Heavy Palma contour. How bad would my Rem. Varmint fit/look in it?

There will definetly be some space between your barrel and the stock. Some hate the way it looks, some like it. You'll have to decide what you like.

Just roll with it who cares what others think.

If you don't like it, you could always have someone bed the barrel channel (with tape around the barrel to free-float, of course).

I'm not to caught up on looks, more function. I estimate the cylinder to be .3 in longer. I can live with that, at least until it's time to change the barrel.

I guess getting a Manners with mini chassis for $400 off list will make it worth it.

There's some fellow on ebay selling them. Near as I can tell he's about an hour south of the Manners plant. I guess he pics up sale items. I bought a T5A with Mini-Chassis for $750. One of the new Manners folders (M5 inlet w/o bottom metal) went for $650. The guy has posted three or four listed as Brand new. I hope I didn't get taken for a ride. I'm not aware of anyone making copies so hopefully it is legit. When it arrives I'll post pics for you all to examine. If I don't like it you might have the chance to buy this one. I don't think its kosher to post links to ebay, so do a search for Manners stock on there.

Sounds like a great deal. I wouldn't worry about the channel. When you rebarrel, it might be nice to have the extra room.
