Does anybody know the barrel contour that is used on the old Win mod 70 sniper rifles?

Its not a straight taper, but I cant find info on this.

Diameter of tip of barrel?

I have a 1956 target M70, the muzzle diameter is .780 and next to the reciever is 1.150. The taper is pretty straight. I think Douglas makes a really nice reproduction barrel in that contour.

The Senich book claims they were typical Winchester target barrels 24" with a .790 muzzle for the most part.I didn't measure mine and it's at the smith now but it's probably just like hgr2's. I think TBA uses the Douglas barrels and they work well.

Med heavy mod 70 target barrels at 24" .790 sounds right Ill check my Roger Rule book. Douglas made the replacement barrels for government. I have 2 original mod 70 targets and love em.
