Alright, I just acquired a Fully Adjustable Mcmillan A3 stock. It is inletted for a Rem 700SA and the barrel channel is for a Broughton #7.1 contour barrel. I am planning on putting my Rem 700 in .223 in it. I was looking for a 1/7 or 1/8 twist barrel. My question is what other barrel manufacturers make something that is comparable to a Broughton #7.1 contour and were can I get one that is in-stock anywhere so I don't have to wait? Length is not really an issue as I am going to have it cut down to 24". I just don't want to have to much barrel rechanneling done on the stock. Any help would be appreciated.

Any idea how short? Are you talking about a month or less or?

Re: Barrel Contour Question

+1 on Brux. I have three barrels and have been very pleased. At the time I ordered them, all major barrel makers were talking 3-6 months wait.

Re: Barrel Contour Question

I think I am going to go w/ either a Hart or Shilen barrel. I have found a couple that will fit my needs and I found them in-stock. Thanks for all of the help and info.
