Barrel end - .308 Win & .45-70

Been having some fun comparing my new GAP TR .308 Win to my Shiloh Sharps .45-70 in view.

Exit ends.

Sites are a tad different with the same goal.

Overall. 22" barrel and 30" barrel.

Cartridges.

Both rifles weigh about the same, but that 22" barrel GAP is a lot more handy.

Love that Shiloh. Love my Shiloh. Mine has the vernier and globe sights though, which makes mine slightly less attractive than yours. That GAP looks good too. Lets see more views of both.

I wonder if anyone has ever tried an octagon barrel on a modern bolt gun.
