I'm new on here, so hopefully I'm doing this correctly.
I ordered a Surgeon 1581 and should have it sometime soon. So i would like to order my stock but my barrel will not arrive for another 6 months. Has anyone had any issues with giving McMillan your barrel and action spec's and it not fit correctly when the rifle is assembled. Or should i just wait and have my Gunsmith fit the barrel to the action. Then send it to McMillan so they can make sure it all comes together correctly.

Just order it with whatever contour you are going to use, or if you can find what stock you are looking for available then buy that one and have your smith open up the barrel channel. it's always better to caution on the side of too narrow and let the smith open it up.
