I have been considering getting the barrel on my R700 308 fluted. For the sole purpose of looks. I know some may think its silly but I like it. I have read on other sites and maybe even here, not sure, but does fluting effect the accuracy of a rifle. Right now it's shooting 1/4'' 3 shot groups at 100 yards with Federal Sierra Matchking 168 grain BTHP. I hate to have it fluted just for looks if it's going to effect the accuracy. Any help/advice given is appreciated. Here is a picture of my setup. Thank you in advance.
