I'm no expert, but the consensus here seems to be that you can't go wrong with a rock creek. Plus, it seems like they keep a number on hand, so you won't have to wait too long. I've also heard good things about the Noveske barrels. I wouldn't imagine that the rock rivers are in the same league, but I could be wrong.

I think you just answered your question. Mike et al are gtg and fun to chat with unless Mike has horse troubles.....jk

THere is a good following for WOA and their "longer" AR barrels, for what it's worth. i'd just rather keep Rock Creek flowing.

Bryan,

After a lot of AR barrels for my 3-Gun rifles, I'll say that any barrel I'll use in the future really depends on its intended use. For a good do everything barrel, 1:8 SS barrels, look at JP (by far the best), Noveske and if you can get them, the best for the $$$ have consistently been (of all people) Olympic Arms. Their Ultramatch barrels are available in 1:8 and are tack drivers.

I bought a Satern 20" SS 7 twist from Midway a year or two ago. With 77 smk and 4064 10 shots into 3/4" @ 100. I don't think Midway cares them anymore, may need to get one from Satern themselves.
