What are you guys running barrel wise in these comps like Mamouth, Bushnell, Tac Games, Vortex Team Challenge, etc... where you're having to ruck all of your kit for decent movements over the course of a few days?

You guys that are still running standard non-flutted steel barrels in these sniper comps, what barrel length and profile do you find gives you the best performance while still keeping your boom stick handy and easy to carry?

I'm going to rebarrel a Tikka action soon to specifically address these needs and am considering a 6.5CM 18"-20" Light Palma or Med Palma barrel. I will be suppressing it with a TB Ultra 7 50% of the time and it will be in a Manners stock with mini-chassis. What do you more experienced sniper comp guys think and recommend?

    Alternative question...
For the guys that have been on sniper teams, what would you consider the perfect barrel length/profile for humping all your kit an unknown distance to set up a hide or start a stalk, and then still have enough barrel length/girth to get repeatable hits as your barrel heats up?
That's vague but so are sniper comps. We're talking 100yds-800yd shots, unknown hides, unknown stalking environments, etc...
This is the "Sniper's Hide" is it not? lol

No real dog in this fight, but if it’s gonna be a Creed, 18-20” should do you fine. Maybe stick to the M40 contour, and just cut down on the crayons you carry to snack on.
