Looking for any info on ballistics gained or lost if someone were to run a magnum caliber 20-24” barrel and add TBAC Ultra 7 to it.
I currently run a TBAC Ultra 7 on my 6.5-300 Weatherby. I gain both speed an accuracy with the suppressor versus with the suppressor off. 3500 FPS with 143 ELD.
Im wanting to build another rifle, I just want it ultra light and in a magnum caliber. But, I’m not sold on a carbon fiber barrel as I am very fond of Kreiger and bartlein and the way they shoot. So, I’m trying to save weight on barrel and maneuverability if I can make it shorter. Magnum being 7MM. 28 Nosler, 7-300 Weatherby etc.
so, I guess my simple question is, has anyone run a short barrel (20-24) and ran a suppressor but kept magnum ballistics.
