so what is the optimun barrel length for 30-06 shooting 208 a-max at 1000 yards suppressed. any ideas?

There are a lot more varibles needed to determine exactly the best length. For 1000 yards you probably should stick with 26 or longer for the sake of running slower powders.

Personally I would not go below a 26" No 7 contour, use a 28" Win Bullgun profile and wouldn't mind a 30" Palma Taper.
